This qualification has been developed using several NOS, including the BSEHV04, Installation of Industrial and Commercial Pipework Systems, the BSEHV06, covering inspection and precommission activities, and the BSEBSEHV01 for health and safety within the workplace.
Successful candidates will know and understand the methods, procedures and techniques for fitting, fixing and connecting components and accessories, and the pipework requirements of the following systems:
Each of the units has been individually credited by the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework and five out of the six units within the programme have been credited (SCQF) at Level 6.
The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) will be withdrawing Industry Accreditation / Grandfather Rights as a route to a CSCS card from 31st December 2024, with no card renewals permitted from 30 th June, 2024.
This follows the Construction Leadership Council’s (CLC) requirement that all construction industry card schemes must operate with nationally recognised qualifications (NVQ/SVQs) for all occupations.
Blue, gold or black CSCS card holders can gain the appropriate cards by (1) holding an existing, recognised qualification, (2) gaining a relevant qualification for their occupation, or (3) possible additional training.
Achievement of this Pipework Systems Qualification qualifies for a CSCS SKILLcard, therefore guaranteeing access to site.

3. You can apply the required skills in different ways
