What a year it’s been! Following the pandemic-induced upheaval of 2020, who could have blamed us for thinking 2021 was going to be a little calmer? How wrong we were!

2021 has been one of our busiest years to-date; one full of huge milestones and industry firsts.

Here’s our top 10 of 2021…

January – Candidate online learning portal Phase 1 release. This included features such as a candidate enquiry and registration form, online candidate onboarding and online payment processes.

February – Phase 2 of the portal was released, featuring the candidate’s learner agreement, their course confirmation letter and document upload functionality available in each individual’s bespoke portal.

March – With our course offering and team both growing it was time to move into a new, larger office.

April – Two successful SQA verifications in one month! To quote the SQA’s External Verifier, “A dedicated team, committed to providing a quality product in each candidate. Always putting the candidate and their circumstances first.”

April –Overclean Ltd became the first company in the UK whose technicians achieved recognised units in Ventilation Hygiene, based on the National Occupational Standards, in partnership with Paddeco Ltd.

April – The third and final phase release of our online learning portal. This saw all course questions, a large universe of learning materials, helpful animations, Individual Learning Plans, site observations and professional discussions all made available to candidates at the touch of a button, 24/7.

July – In partnership with the National Association of Air Duct Specialists (NAADUK), we proudly launched the UK’s first ever SCQF Level 5 Ventilation Hygiene Certificate, guaranteeing the highest possible standards of competence and compliance.

July – In addition to the growth of our course offering, July also saw our team grow, with the addition of a Senior Office Administrator and an Office Administrator. These recruitments allowed us to be more hands-on with and spend more time with each of our candidates.

October – Paddeco and NAADUK’s new ventilation hygiene qualification received approval, by SKILLcard’s standard setting body, the Skills Partnership, to acquire a relevant SKILLcard.

November – We added another two qualifications to our product offering: the Fire Damper & Smoke Certificate and the Installation of Fire Resisting Ductwork & Ventilation Systems. Both Level 2 qualifications are based on the National Occupational standards, therefore guaranteeing the highest possible standards of competence and compliance and are fully approved and endorsed by the SQA.

Time to take a breath? Absolutely not! We’ve got big things in-store for 2022…watch this space!
