As summer draws to a close, we want to take a moment to look back on what’s been a crazy few months here at Paddeco.

We are extremely proud and excited to be working with Ductbusters, one of the UK’s leading independent ductwork companies. Their team is registered on the Ventilation Hygiene and/or Fire and Smoke Damper qualifications, ensuring their operatives are meeting the minimum levels of compliance, set by Government.

To quote the team at Ductbusters, “This ground-breaking qualification, spanning NVQ 2/3 years, is spearheaded by the renowned training provider Paddeco”. They continue “By December 31st, 2024, a recognized qualification will be a prerequisite for skills card holders. We are immensely proud to share that our engineers are set to be the trailblazers.”

At the same time, our relationship with Shepley Engineers Ltd goes from strength to strength, with their team of highly skilled operatives based on nuclear sites around the UK. Our training and assessment team has spent time at Sellafield and Preston, providing on-site teaching to operatives working towards their Ductwork Installation and Fire and Smoke Damper Qualifications. A relationship that proves even the most highly skilled individuals recognise the need to meet their legal compliance requirements by achieving a Level 2/3 qualification in their field.

Our work on nuclear facilities continues, on Devonport nuclear submarine facility, with the HVAC experts at Exyte Hargreaves.  Working on some of the most high-profile projects in the UK and abroad, Hinkley Point, Chernobyl, Crossrail, Heathrow Airport, the Channel Tunnel, Porton Down and many more, Exyte Hargreaves’ operatives will be amongst the most qualified in the UK on achievement of their Level 3 Ductwork Installation qualifications.

We also welcomed the fantastic team at Nederman UK to our ever-growing portfolio of clients.  Part of the Nederman Group, a world-leading supplier and developer of products and solutions within the environmental technology sector, we will be upskilling and supporting them on their journey towards achieving their LEV installation and extraction qualifications.

We want to welcome all our new clients to Paddeco, who now join the likes of Air Vent Services, AC Ventilation Solutions Ltd, Perfect Services Solutions Ltd, Dempsey Ductwork Ltd, F Shaw & Co Ltd and, most recently, Nitor Ventilation Ltd on their qualification journeys.

Away from coalface, we’ve been busy forging relationships with a number of the industry’s big hitters.  Our CEO, Joe Lloyd, recently spent time with Midfix, discussing all things legislation in construction and M&E.  The latest episode of Midfix’s The M&E Drop-in podcast, The New Regulated Built Environment, covered a range of areas including:

Clearly, it’s been a busy summer, none of which would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our team of teachers, assessors, expert witnesses, support staff and management. To that end, we will be investing in and expanding our teaching, assessment and auditing teams over the coming months in order to meet the growing demand from industry.

If you’d like more information on any of our National Occupational Standard-based qualifications (listed below), and how you/your team can comply with legislative requirements, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
