The Route to Legal Competency & Compliance

In recent weeks there has been an uptick in the number of social media advertisements, promoting knowledge, competence and compliance through training courses.

As we discussed back in April 2023 (https://paddeco.com/courses-v-qualifications/), whilst short/awareness courses certainly can add value, they do not provide a route for individuals to meet their legal competence and compliance requirements, per Item 35 of the Building Safety Act.

This simple chart indicates the questions an individual should be asking if they want to become legally competent and compliant.

Any individual interested in undertaking a Paddeco qualification will initially be ‘skill scanned’ to identify any RPL (recognised prior learning), including previous qualifications and/or training courses they attended.

So, these courses add value, but don’t be fooled into thinking they alone are the answer.
